Favourite/most often used quote:

"Alas" — Shakespeare

My first novel in print is now available from Amazon and bookshops to order. The ISBN, which bookshops will need, is 978-150-866008-8.

The book is called 'The Silent Years', and is the story of a woman's quest to discover what became of her father, who was parachuted into occupied France in 1943 and never heard from again. There are 337 pages of text, in the form of a paperback.

There is also a version for e-readers, such as Kindle, reached via the link on the right --->

Emboldened by the early sales of 'The Silent Years', I am working on another of these novels with a view to publishing that in the near future.

My work so far
Like many writers, I have written for many years. My parents bought me a second-hand typewriter when I was 12, and apart from some early (and unmentionable!) efforts to write short stories, I wrote a class magazine on it for a couple of years while still at school. I've sold some short stories to an internet magazine in the USA, and written articles for the BBC's website. I've completed several novels in various genres, five of which are currently available from the links on this page. I also critique the work of other writers.

My more recent forays are into the world of video drama. Several scripts have resulted in short films (up to 30 minutes' duration), which are entered in the British International Amateur Film Competition (and others). See the Norfolk Video Productions website if you're interested in film-making.

I've also penned some radio plays, which were broadcast on local community station, Future Radio.
